Michael Dell

Michael Dell is an American entrepreneur , famous business magnate and she is known as the founder of Dell Inc. His life is very inspiring. The company Dell is very famous for its uniqueness. People always wonder why, because it has very unique service and it attracts customers with its perfect service. Michael Dell was interested in computers since early ages. He purchased his 1st calculator at the age of 7 and encountered his 1st teletype machine. Later he got chance to buy Apple II, and he bought it to check how it works.  Michael Dells success story began when he was in the university.
DELL
Dell sent an inquiry for information on obtaining his High-School equivalency diploma at eight years old. This was a clear sign that he was not an average child but one who was ambitious and eager for success. In his younger years, as a delivery boy, he wanted new customers so he gave a two week free trial and made follow-up phone calls after the two week trial was up this made him a sizable income. Even from his dorm room he was profiting. As a freshman in college he began PC’s unlimited out of a storefront. This made him the youngest CEO in history. PC’s Unlimited had 30 employees and introduced Turbo PC its own model in 1985. His company was soon bringing in thirty million. Dell Computer was birthed from PC’s unlimited in 1987.Sales reached one hundred fifty-nine million within the first four years. After it’s fifth year, two billion. What made Dell change its strategy was a stock price slump from which a new Dell computer called the Latitude XP Laptop was developed. After the change stocks went from $0.39 to $80.00 a 20,000% increase in shares.Dell did a lot to make sure he did all he could to maintain the security of his company.  He hired executives with records that were proven. He reorganized and put Mort Topfer in charge of running Dell. One prized incentive of the company is convenience. By calling a toll free number you can request your made-to-order Dell computer within 36 hours. Most sales of Dell computers are to businesses and enthusiasts instead of first-time users.  A lot of their revenue is gained from Toyota. Dell manufactures computer units it has already sold which saves Dell a lot of costs because it does not need a warehouse to stock already made computers in. Dell surpassed his goal to have a billion-dollar-a-year company enterprise.“The driving force of computers is Dell Computer”, said Fortune magazine. Internet Week reported that Dell had topped twelve billion in Dell revenues. Michael Dell hopes to exceed being a CEO for years to come. If his past replicates his future there is little doubt that achieving this goal will come easily to him.
As a conclusion of a motivating story of Michael Dell , i wanted to say that whatever we think, it is possible, just we tell ourselves that it is not possible. He was very determined and ambitious person, his abilities we can see that he had an interest in IT, so in the life we have to choose the right way, and choose it from our hearts.

The story of Simon shows us that we have to work hard and achieve our goals by ourselves ,not just to be someones extra plan or something like that. you should see the things around you, and get the idea from that and create a unique thing to be unique in the society.

Philip H Knight

Philip H Knight is an American business magnate and the co-founder of Nike Inc. He was born in Portland Oregon on February 24, 1938, Philip H. Knight would become “the most powerful person in sports.” He is the co-founder and current Chairman of the Board for Nike, Inc.Phil Knight attended Cleveland High school in Portland Oregon and after graduation, went on to attend the University of Oregon in Eugene, where he earned a journalism degree in 1959. It was at the University of Oregon that Knight found his love for athletics as a middle distance runner in track and field under the tutelage of Coach Bill Bowerman. He received varsity letters in 1957, 1958 and 1959 for track and had achieved a personal best mile of 4:10.

JUST DO IT

After graduating in 1959, Knight enlisted in the US Army, serving one year active and the following seven as a reservist. During his reserve duty, he attended Stanford Graduate School of Business, to obtain his Master of Business Administration. It was in a business class that Knight discovered he had a passion other than athletics, and that was as an entrepreneur. His instructor, Frank Shallenberger, had assigned him to write a business plan on something he enjoyed and knew about. That assignment led to the inspiration by Knight to form a company selling shoes to athletes. His paper, titled, “Can Japanese Sports Shoes Do to German Sports Shoes What Japanese Cameras Did to German Cameras?” was directed at answering the question whether a shoe could be designed and manufactured for less with better quality than the current leader in athletic shoes, Adidas.Upon returning to the United States, Knight borrowed $500 from his father to pay for the samples and start up his business. Shortly thereafter he received the samples and immediately sent a few pairs to his former coach Bill Bowerman in hopes that coach Bowerman would buy them and help promote the shoes to his athletes. Bowerman, instead offered to put up $500 and join Knight as a partner in this new venture.
The two new partners officially formed Blue Ribbon Sports in 1964, purchased 200 pairs of shoes from Tiger, and began selling to athletes at Track meets throughout the Oregon and Washington region. Knight’s storefront was his early 1960s Plymouth Valiant. Knight had to maintain his job as an accountant, while selling shoes, however by 1969, he was able to leave his job and begin working full-time for Blue Ribbon Sports. In 1971, with sales exceeding $3 million, Knight decided to break with Tiger and start designing their own line of shoes named Nike (suggested by a friend, Jeff Johnson, after the Greek winged goddess of victory). Knight commissioned Portland Sate art student Carolyn Davis to create the ‘swoosh’ logo as Bowerman devised the waffle sole for better traction. The new Nike shoe debuted in 1972. Utilizing sports figures to promote his shoes, Knight embarked on an advertising campaign that included the likes of John McEnroe, and later Micheal Jordan.

Henry Ford

Henry Ford was an American industrialist and the founder of Ford Motor Company. He was born on July 30,1863. Though Henry was brought up as any typical nineteenth century child raised on a farm he developed a mechanical interest early which swayed him from any likelihood of promoting a life similar to the one he’d known. At the young age of sixteen he left his home and moved to Detroit where he became an apprentice machinist. After three years he returned home but his interest in the farm remained vague and his primary help was provided in the over hauling of farm equipment. During the beginning years of his marriage he supported himself and his wife by running a saw mill but by 1891, after becoming an engineer for the Edison Illumination Company, it was clear the he would dedicate his life to industrial pursuits. By 1893 he had earned a promotion
FORD
The time and money accumulated from his employee status allowed him to devote his attention toward his personal experiments. These experiments took form in 1896 when Ford developed his own self-propelled vehicle.Though two previous attempts had failed, in 1903 the Ford Motor company was incorporated. The production of the Model t was everything he thought it should be. It was reasonably priced, reliable, and efficient but under the current conditions only a few could be made in a day.To meet the growing demand the company opened a large factory. Within a short time he had revolutionized an assembly line and became the biggest automobile manufacture in the world. The Ford relished in the progression of the company as well as the Model T, he was unsatisfied. He pushed to construct an automobile infrastructure. His ambitions included gas stations and better roads, which eventually led to an interstate-highway.
Ford was stubborn in his own right. He wanted everything done his own way. Though this attitude might have caused disruption it certain contributed to his success. Much like the man he admired most, Thomas Edison, Ford’s ambitions had no limit. His dreams were big and they couldn’t possibly have been achieved by anyone of less value. His stature even allowed him the progression of mass production. He was laid to rest in 1947 but his energy and passion for the automobile industry still lives today through the minds and hearts of many other idealists. Like Ford, these idealists consistently amaze us with their advancement and unique expertise. Certainly, Henry would be proud and habit would have him initializing further technique.

Henry Ford he was a just farmer`s son and became a founder of Ford company. Even if he had problems and unfair things, he didn`t stop. Life is a series of experiences, and each one makes us more bigger and stronger. As i understood from Ford`s life is money cannot help you to survive in this world. The only thing that helps you to survive is knowledge, experience and ability. Once he said " You cannot learn in school, what the world is going to do next year" so that`s why we should be able to survive in any situation.

Milton Hershey

Milton Hershey was an American  famous confectioner, entrepreneur and the founder of sweet company  The Hershey Chocolate Company He was born on 13th September 1857 on a farm in Pennsylvania. Because of the fact that his family regularly moved around, he quit school at the fifth grade and became an apprentice to the printer in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. However this apprenticeship soon ended because he didn’t enjoy the work and he instead began and completed an apprenticeship of four years working with a candy maker from Lancaster. When he completed his the apprenticeship he then set up a candy making business which initially failed, along with his second and third attempts at establishing candy making businesses in New York City and Chicago.
The Hershey Chocolates

In 1883 he came back to Lancaster and successfully set up the Lancaster Caramel Company using a recipe for caramel he had come across during his travels. This business allowed him to progress further in the candy making business, beginning his career as a successful businessman.Using the money he made from the Lancaster Caramel Company he was able to buy 40,000 acres of land close to the area he was born. This allowed him to get the quantity of milk that was needed to produce good quality milk chocolate, which during this period was exclusively a Swiss product. He eventually managed to make a good formula for it using the method of trial and error, and in 1903 the building of his chocolate manufacturing plant started. The factory was completed in 1905, and later became the biggest chocolate manufacturing plant in the world. It used the most up to date mass production methods available which led to Hershey’s chocolate becoming the first product like it to be nationally marketed.
The factory started off in the middle of farmland, but eventually buildings such as houses, churches and other factories and businesses were set up around the chocolate factory, along with a transportation system. Eventually a public school system was implemented along with HersheyPark which had amusement arcades and a swimming pool. This bought more business to the town. Hershey used a lot of the money he had to help others and he and his wife were unable to have children. All of the money he made from his chocolate business he put into the public school (later renamed the Milton Hershey School) via a trust. He also set up the charitable M.S Hershey Foundation.
His heart was also sweet like his job. He always dreamed to take care of every children and give them education and good life. And he was also very successful in business, the best advice was that " The best advertising that you can show to people is that the good quality" Hershey is my favorite chocolate, and the quality and taste is very good. The main thing that we can learn from him, is that we should be kind , but for business we should care about not quantity , but quality of the job or product.

Anita Roddick

Anita Roddick was a British businesswoman and entrepreneur, she is well known as the founder of The Body Shop. From the opening of a small company in Brighton, England, in 1976 Anita Roddick had extended travel where she unearthed a multitude of stories that would influence the recipes for her cosmetics. During her time away from England, the Body Shop was but a thought in Roddick’s head on how to pull in an income for herself and her two daughters while her husband, Gordon Roddick, was away in the United States. became one of England’s wealthiest women with assets totaling over 300 million. Before opening her company: the Body Shop in 1976, Roddick had a tremulous upbringing. Having been born from a hard-working Italian mother she was put to work at a young age in her mother and American father’s café where she developed a strong work ethic. Roddick today said there was little leisure for her in the café when she was young. Sadly, her parents were to divorce when she was eight.
The Journey  of Anita Roddick

She found an epiphany when reading in a Penguin book about the holocaust at age 10 that developed a strong sense of concern for the world around her. In 1962 she left England and studied in Kibbutz, Israel but a school prank got her expelled. Roddick then returned to England where she covered several jobs and was able to later travel. In 1972 she met her husband, Gordon, running a hotel-restaurant and raising two children. Gordon was soon to leave, with her approval, to ride from Buenos Aires, Argentina- to New York on horseback; a venture that would leave her to fend on her own again. It was here Roddick revisited her ideas she developed while traveling and out of her garage crafted 15 different skin products and opened a small store. After it’s lucrative success, a second store was opened 6 months later followed by more when Gordon returned from the United States.By the early 1990′s, the Body Shop had over 700 store branches whose success gave her the 91′ World Vision Award for Development Initiative. Today, after continued growth, the Body Shop has about 2000 stores worldwide and recently, in 1993, Roddick was knighted by the Queen of England giving her the name and title: Dame Anita Roddick.
\
Anita Roddick was very unusual because of her the way how she thought, the way how she felt the business and the way how she lived her life. For her the main thing was not just to invest money for something, for her it was to feel  and believe in it. Whenever she did something, she did it well, did them better, different, first, and she did it in her own best way. The main important thing is that she was a woman, and she was able to be patient and go straight to her dreams.
